The Auenland-Südholstein district administration in a new light

The new building for the Auenland-Südholstein district administration was constructed in the new Nützen industrial estate. The site on the outskirts of Kaltenkirchen opens up to the Ohlau river meadow landscape. In this open location, characterised by bends and oaks, the new building creates its own place as an "atrium house".The new two-storey building for 40 employees was given a mono-pitched roof for a future extension of the administration.

Blind windows were planned for this purpose, which characterise the crown of the building as a fine brick relief.A cube forms the entrance to an open foyer. The wedding room and the large conference room are located here. The building was erected as a solid construction with a facing brick shell made of Wittmunder Klinker and partly with wooden hybrid ceilings. Winking - Froh were awarded the contract for the general planning of the entire project in 2019 as part of an award procedure. The construction costs totalled 6.9 million euros.
