Designed by Dogrul + Kurz Architects, this twin house was built on an elongated hillside plot overlooking Braunschweig’s Bürgerpark.
The design responds precisely to the site’s topography, creating a calm, well-proportioned structure that integrates naturally into its surroundings.

The previously vacant timber-framed house on the site could no longer be preserved. In its place, a two-storey new building with a basement was realized — a composition that continues the architectural language through its clinker façade, terracing and boundary walls.

The project features Wittmunder Klinker, Sortierung 15 in thin format – a blue-violet brick with a distinctive, vibrant surface appearance.
It was laid alternately with the smooth and textured (foot) sides exposed, producing a façade with fine relief and tactile depth that changes with the light.

Inside, an open plan connects living, dining and kitchen areas into one flowing space, while the upper floors provide private rooms with views over the park.
A project that demonstrates how form, proportion and material can come together to create a precise and enduring piece of architecture.
