Designed by architect Fritz Höger in 1924, this masterpiece of expressionist brick construction is celebrating its 100th birthday this year. To this day, it demonstrates the durability and timelessness of brick as a building material in a unique way. It is an impressive example of the possibilities and aesthetics that can be achieved with brick.
The fact that the Chilehaus has lost none of its breathtaking appearance even after 100 years is thanks to the genuine hard-fired clinker bricks that form its façade.
