It all began over 100 years ago. Klinkerwerke Wittmund GmbH was set up to supply a classic East Frisian product: clinker bricks for construction and paving. People beyond the boundaries of East Friesland very soon recognised, and came to appreciate, the almost infinite number of options for design and use that Wittmunder clinker bricks offer. Those original values continue to be valid today.

In times of globalisation and of acquisitions and mergers within traditional industries, our brickworks are still family-owned. From East Friesland, we supply our customers in Germany and beyond with a product whose raw material is obtained from the region and produced in Northern Germany:

The experience and the knowledge about the right firing technique passed down from one generation of master clinker baker to the next is what we see as our capital for an absolutely consistent product. You can therefore place exacting demands on this construction material. The especially high-temperature firing method of up to 1200° guarantees long-term durability and the special appeal
